It was my privilege and great honor as a Board Member of the United Nations Association Greater Birmingham, AL Chapter to represent the Citizens of Birmingham, Mayor William Bell, the Birmingham City Council, The Birmingham Sister Cities Commission and Mark Jackson (Honorary Consul General of Japan) in presenting the official Sister Cities Proclamation to Mayor Yamamoto and the distinguished delegation of Maebashi.

We are very excited about the relationship between Birmingham and Maebashi and look forward to expanding our cultural and educational exchanges that will continue to strengthen our Sister City International partnership for years to come.
